Assessment

A psychoeducational or psychological evaluation can provide clarity regarding a diagnosis, an individual’s unique pattern of strengths and weaknesses, and appropriate treatment. I have experience in the assessment of learning disabilities and cognitive differences, neurodevelopmental differences such as autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavior, mood and anxiety disorders.

During an evaluation, I strive to integrate data from direct assessment with information from different professionals, family members, and educators to develop a comprehensive picture of the individual. When evaluating a child or adolescent, I also value providing them with developmentally-appropriate feedback to help them form a more complete understanding of their own strengths and challenges. In my reports, I provide guidance regarding evidence-based treatments for specific diagnoses, guidelines for other treatment providers, academic accommodations, as well as educational materials and resources.
